Commitment
Anakin knows a lot about commitment. It's one of those things, as a padawan in the Jedi Temple, that one gets used to hearing about rather often. "Your commitment to the Order" or "The commitment you have made to the Order" or "We are committed to the Order" or "Our commitment"...well, you get the idea. So, after hearing about it for ten years, he certainly knows a lot about what it means for one to be committed. Jedi commit to the Order for life. Only a rare few ever leave the Order and a just a rare few have any memory of what it was like for them before they came to the Temple. Sometimes, Anakin thinks that that makes the commitment unfair. How can one choose to be a part of an Order for their entire life when they haven't ever experienced anything else? And sometimes he wishes he had been brought to the Temple when he was just a baby, like the others. Maybe then things would be easier for him. He has made his commitment to the Order, and he intends to keep it no matter what others around here suggest about his future.
Once in a blue moon he'll stop and think about commitment of a different kind, with a beautiful girl from Naboo he once knew. Every time he shakes it off as wishful thinking.
