Best 24 hours

That was simple. He was nine at the time. Still a slave on Tatooine, though that wasn't really all that bad. He still had his mother, after all. And then, the Jedi had come, and along with him a goofy Gungan and a beautiful girl Anakin was still certain to this day must really be an angel. The moment he'd laid eyes on her, even at the age of nine, he was certain she was the most beautiful creature in the universe. He was also certain that one day he would marry her.

And then, the visitors had ended up coming home with him! Not only that, but Anakin had been able to race the podracer he'd built in the big Boonta Eve race. If that wasn't enough, Anakin had won! Even with Sebulba's cheating. The first human ever to race, and probably the youngest racer out there to boot and still, he'd won. Only a little later did he find out that in winning the race, he didn't just help the Jedi and his friends, but he'd also won his own freedom as well. Which meant that he could leave with the Jedi and go to Coruscant to learn the ways of the Jedi. That moment was the best of his young life.

So, that would be what he considers his best twenty-four hours ever, from the time he met Padme, to the time just before he realised leaving with Qui-Gon meant leaving his mother behind as well. Certainly, there have been good times since then. Incidents. Experiences. But nothing else quite measures up to that one day.
