Anakin sighs, "seems like they're going to get found out, regardless of if they keep it a secret or not." Someone's going to notice people leaving, eventually, if they haven't already. Nor could they keep their activities in system a secret much longer, they're probably lucky they haven't gotten a greater response than two Jedi showing up. "And it won't go well either way."

There is a greater lesson about secrets in there that Anakin will let fly right over his head.

"So I guess the question really is whether we're really going to help them or not." Save for the possible existence of a Separatist agent who could just be a sympathizer not actually employed by the CIS, this is still more or less an internal matter. It's not even that these people are running from some humanitarian disaster or being enslaved or something, they just have differing political ideals. Sure, kidnapping merchants is a crime but there's no evidence that anybody's even been injured, much less killed and at the end of the day?

Don't they have better things to do?
