Heartache
Anakin thinks about that. Heartache. He thinks about how much he misses his mother, how much he misses her, both of them make his heart ache. He does not feel stronger for it. In fact, he's sure someone would say that his continuing to hold on to his attachments are definitely hindrances. 'Attachment is forbidden.' One cannot experience heartache without attachment.
He wants to be stronger, but to be stronger, you have to let go.
He's just not ready to do that.
