Meeting with Padme [locked to [livejournal.com profile] __padme__]

[Follows this]

The message had been both a little unexpectd and yet also Anakin felt like he'd been waiting ages for it to come. A quick exchange back and forth of notes between himself and Padme led to their setting up a place and time to meet.

Of course, technically Anakin was still supposed to stick to the Temple when not with Obi-Wan. But then, hadn't Obi-Wan given him his implicit permission to go out by getting Dexter to procure that speederbike for him? Besides, after the long session sparring with Master Windu the day before, they were having pity on him and not expecting him to be anywhere today. Anakin had the sneaking suspicion most of the other students figured he'd spend the whole day lying in bed or soaking away bruises.

All the better to give him a reason not to have been seen all day, he supposes.

Not needing to convince himself anymore, Anakin sneaks out of the Temple again for what must be the second time in a week and makes his way to where he stores his swoop. Within a few more minutes, Anakin is flying, literally, toward the Jrade Plaza. He makes what must be record time in getting there and stows the swoop before going to settle on a bench near the spot he told Padme he would be waiting.

Anakin had chosen this plaza simply because it wasn't too near the Temple, and yet was convenient to both the Naboo Senatorial Residence and the Senate itself. Not to mention all of the shops and restaurants and things that were nearby. Or the fact that it stayed very busy so two people meeting there wouldn't be likely to be noticed. He's not sure why all the secrecy, but she started it with encrypting the messages so high!

Not that he minds keeping it a secret either. And so, he waits, about as patiently as Anakin ever waits for anything.

She might blush. A little. Though she couldn't tell you why. "Thank you."

She laughs. "Will you get a big head, now that I've said that?"

[identity profile] morally-cryptic.livejournal.com 2005-02-09 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
"You're welcome." At least he's not the only one who blushes when complimented.

Wounded look, "Of course not." After a moment, "There are probably some who'd say it can't get any bigger." Grin.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/__padme__/ 2005-02-09 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
She grins back, shaking her head. "Someday I'll figure out what to do with you, Anakin."

[identity profile] morally-cryptic.livejournal.com 2005-02-09 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
"Make sure you let me know when you do."

As their food is brought.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/__padme__/ 2005-02-09 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
She snorts, sipping her tea before starting on her salad. "It might take a while."

[identity profile] morally-cryptic.livejournal.com 2005-02-09 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
One of those intense looks, "I'll wait."

Then the turns his attention to his food.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/__padme__/ 2005-02-09 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
Quietly, "Why do you look at me like that?"

[identity profile] morally-cryptic.livejournal.com 2005-02-09 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
"Like what?" Of course, play like he has no idea what she's talking about.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/__padme__/ 2005-02-09 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
Like I'm the only person in the room with you. "Ani. You know what I mean. Why do you look at me that way?"

[identity profile] morally-cryptic.livejournal.com 2005-02-09 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
He picks at his food. "I can't help it."

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/__padme__/ 2005-02-09 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
She pokes at her own food. "I don't know what to do around you. When you look at me like that." Or any other time, really.

[identity profile] morally-cryptic.livejournal.com 2005-02-09 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm sorry, m'lady." He doesn't sound sorry.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/__padme__/ 2005-02-09 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
"No, you're not." But she smiles a little. And she might be looking at him a little like he looked at her.

[identity profile] morally-cryptic.livejournal.com 2005-02-09 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
He can't help but smile in return, "No, I'm not. Forgive me?"

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/__padme__/ 2005-02-09 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
"I don't think I have a choice but to forgive you," she muses, partly to herself.

[identity profile] morally-cryptic.livejournal.com 2005-02-09 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
He raises an eyebrow at her, then looks back down at his food. "There's always choices."

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/__padme__/ 2005-02-09 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
"Then I think I'd always choose to forgive you."

[identity profile] morally-cryptic.livejournal.com 2005-02-09 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
A smile. Not the quick smile of before, but a genuine smile. "I am glad to hear that."

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/__padme__/ 2005-02-09 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
She smiles back, then sighs. "What should I do with you, Anakin Skywalker?" Because the things she's starting to think she'd like to do aren't really appropriate.

[identity profile] morally-cryptic.livejournal.com 2005-02-09 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
Some of the things he's been thinking aren't really appropriate either. She'd be shocked. And she'd probably vow never to see him again. Or something. "Well, you could start by letting me show you around."

[identity profile] morally-cryptic.livejournal.com 2005-02-09 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
He munches on his food thoughtfully for a few moments, "Though I hope you don't mind riding a swoop bike..."

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/__padme__/ 2005-02-09 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
"I never have." She's grateful she chose pants instead of a skirt. "But I don't mind trying."

[identity profile] morally-cryptic.livejournal.com 2005-02-09 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
He sounds a little doubtful, "We could always get an airtaxi...."
