He stared into a mirror. Stared into yellow-gold eyes rimmed in scarlet. His own eyes.
It was fitting, somehow. Fitting that he has some outward sign of what he has done. Of who he has become. He's no longer Anakin Skywalker. No longer that boy with blue eyes that matched the sky he walked on.
It's fitting and yet...it feels wrong somehow, too. He's used to seeing the blue. He tells himself this feeling of wrongness will fade with time, once he grows accustomed to his new appearance.
He stares into yellow eyes, his eyes. He's haunted by blue.
He makes a fist and drives it into the glass and watches with satisfaction as the mirror breaks and crashes to the floor. Breaks just as Skywalker was broken. He will not let the blue eyes of a dead man haunt him any more.
Years later, he sees a boy with sandy blonde hair and blue eyes. Blue. Blue like the sky he walked on. Blue like his father's.
Blue eyes haunt him once more.

Note: This is set after Anakin chooses to become Darth Vader, obviously, and has no bearing on RP therefore.
